La Comedy di Boing!
Proseguono i “Cartoon Sotto le Stelle” in Piazzale Fellini. Le proiezioni di questa sera sono dedicate ai comedy serial del canale satellitare Boing, con personaggi come Mucca e Pollo, Johnny Bravo, Lone Cane Fifone e il nuvo Flapjack!

Seguendo gli strampalati consigli del Capitan Scrocchio, l’intraprendente e curioso Flapjack si metterà alla ricerca di Isola Caramellata e del mare, fatto di “sogni”, che la circonda. Il ragazzo si imbatterá così in numerose (dis)avventure e in divertenti situazioni. Per Flapjack, sará un vero e proprio viaggio dall’infanzia all’età adulta. Insieme al suo amico pirata e alla balena che lo ha cresciuto, trascorrerà la maggior parte del tempo nella Baia Tempestalunga a… mangiare caramelle, vero bottino della sua caccia! Nel corso delle esplorazioni, poi, incontrerá buffissimi personaggi, tra cui Larry Menta Piperita, lo strampalato proprietario della Bottega delle Golosità, Perfidella, Incantevole Splendora e Willy Otto Braccia.
Se ne vedranno delle belle con il nuovo amico marinaio Flapjack, il cui credo è: “Se tutto va come previsto, non è un’avventura!”.
La serie é firmata da Mark “Thurop” Van Orman, cartoonist che ha partecipato alla sceneggiatura e agli storyboard di altri Cartoon Network Original di successo come Camp Lazlo e Le tenebrose avventure di Billy e Mandy.
Following the odd advices of Captain K’nuckles, the curious and enterprising Flapjack will venture to search for the Candied Island and for the “dreams” of the sea surrounding it. The guy will thus live numerous (mis)adventures and will find himself in amusing circumstances. It is going to be, for Flapjack, a real journey from childhood to adult age. Together with his pirate friend and with the whale that brought him up, he will spend most of his time at the Stormalong Harbor… eating candies, the real loot of his quest! During his scouting, he will also meet strange and funny characters, among which Peppermint Larry, the strange owner of The Candy Barrel, Dock Hag, Candy Wife and Eight Armed Willy.
A lot to see with our new friend sailor Flapjack, whose motto is: “If everything goes as planned, it’s not an adventure!”.
The series is signed by Mark “Thurop” Van Orman, the cartoonist that has taken part of the script and storyboards of other successful Cartoon Network Originals like Camp Lazlo and The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Courage the Cowardly Dog

Se la vita di un cane da guardia vi sembra facile, seguendo le misteriose, intriganti e mozzafiato avventure di Leone (non per niente) il Cane Fifone, cambierete sicuramente idea. Eventi paranormali, strane e spaventose creature, extraterrestri sono all’ordine del giorno nella fattoria sperduta nei pressi della piccola città di Altrove, dove Leone deve essere sempre pronto a difendere i padroni a cui deve la vita.
Abbandonato appena nato, Leone è stato trovato ai bordi di una strada, sporco e malridotto, dalla buona vecchina Marilù che lo ha accolto nella sua casa e che ora lo ama come se fosse un figlio.
Per questa sua gentilezza, Leone farebbe assolutamente di tutto per proteggerla. È terrorizzato dalla possibilità che possa succederle qualcosa e che lui possa trovarsi nuovamente solo.
Marilù è sposata con Giustino, il contadino che ascolta Jim Morrison, beve soda ed è sempre alle prese con la riparazione del suo furgoncino. La cosa che più lo diverte è spaventare Leone a morte, e gli riesce molto bene vista l’indole da coniglio del nostro protagonista… che però come un eroe di tutto rispetto riporta sempre la pace nella piccola fattoria sperduta chissà dove.
If the life of a guard dog seems easy to you, following the mysterious, intriguing and breathless adventures of Courage (not by chance) the cowardly Dog, you will sure change your mind. Paranormal events, strange and frightening creatures, and extraterrestrials are on the agenda at the lost farm in the outskirts of the little town of Elsewhere, where Courage must always be ready do defend his owners, to whom he owes his own life.
Abandoned newly born, Courage was found by the edge of a road, dirty, and in a very poor state by the good old lady Muriel that welcomed him in her house and that now loves him as her own son.
For her kindness, Courage would absolutely do everything to protect her. He is terrified at the idea that something bad might occur to her and that he could find himself once again alone.
Muriel is married to Eustace, the farmer that listens to Jim Morrison, drinks soda and is always meddling with his van repairs. What he enjoys most is frightening Courage to death, and he does it pretty good, considering the mild temper of our protagonist… that however like a hero of due respect always brings peace back in the little farm lost who knows where.

Spirito libero, bicipiti gonfi, magliettina nera d’ordinanza, occhiali da sole, ciuffo impomatato, passione sfrenata per le donne nonostante una inguaribile “mammadipendenza”, Johnny Bravo è il protagonista dell’omonima serie in onda su Cartoon Network.
Johnny adora se stesso e si considera un dono degli dei alle donne della terra. Ha una sola missione nella vita: rimorchiare. La verità, però, è che le cose non sono proprio come Johnny le vede. Se lui fosse un po’ più obiettivo, si renderebbe conto che le donne proprio non impazziscono per lui. Così la ricerca narcisistica di Johnny lo porta, suo malgrado, a trovarsi in una serie di situazioni assolutamente ridicole, soprattutto quando ha a che fare con sua madre, con la quale vive. Johnny farebbe qualsiasi cosa per aiutare sua madre, Bunny Bravo, quando pensa, spesso sbagliando, che a lei serva il suo aiuto.
Malgrado il suo proverbiale “mammismo” Johnny è un tipico dongiovanni con uno spiccato senso di cavalleria nei confronti di tutte le donne. In ogni caso, la simpatica ossessione di Johnny per le donne, l’incrollabile fede nella sua superiorità e la sua sfrontatezza ne fanno un tipo sorprendentemente amabile, uno per il quale fare il tifo!
Creata da Van Partible, Johnny Bravo é una serie nata dal progetto di Hanna-Barbera e Cartoon Network per la trasmissione “World Premiere Toons” del canale.
Van Partible si è ispirato, per il nome del suo personaggio, ad un episodio di una famosa serie TV americana, The Brady Bunch. Nell’episodio intitolato “Adios, Johnny Bravo”, Greg Brady (Barry Williams) è costretto a cambiare il suo nome in Johnny Bravo per ottenere un contratto discografico.

Free spirited, pumped biceps, duty black T-Shirt, shades, greased tuft, and an uncontrolled passion for women despite a helpless “mom-addiction”, Johnny Bravo is the leading man of Cartoon Network’s series titled after his own name.
Johnny adores himself and considers himself a gift of the Gods for all women on earth. He has one single mission in his life: pick up girls. The truth is actually different and things are not exactly as Johnny figures them. Were he just a little more objective, he would realise that women are not really mad of him. His narcissistic quest brings Johnny against his will in a series of ridiculous circumstances, mostly when he has to be with his mother, with whom he lives with. Johnny would do everything to help his mother, Bunny Bravo, out, thinking, and often mistaking, that she needs his help.
Despite his conventional “excessive motherliness” Johnny is the typical “Romeo” with a strong sense of gentlemanliness towards every woman. Anyway, his funny obsession for women, his abiding belief in his superiority and his cockiness make him in the end a surprisingly congenial chap, one to support!
Created by Van Partible, Johnny Bravo is a series born from Hanna & Barbera and Cartoon Network project for the “World Premiere Toons” show of the channel.
Van Partible found his inspiration for the name of the character, from an episode of the American TV series “The Brady Bunch”. In the episode entitled “Adios, Johnny Bravo” Greg Brady (Barry Williams) is forced to change his name to Johnny Bravo to obtain a recording contract.
MUCCA E POLLO
Cow and Chicken

Mucca e Pollo racconta le grottesche e stravaganti avventure di una surreale coppia di fratelli: il maggiore “Pollo” e la più piccola “Mucca” (di 230 kg). Anche se nati da genitori umani, i due mostrano tratti caratteristici della loro specie.
Pollo, un pollo maschio di undici anni, cerca sempre di primeggiare su tutti, sia su sua sorella Mucca che sui suoi compagni di scuola, Flem e Earl. Il suo caratterino pugnace lo porta spesso nei guai, per fortuna in queste occasioni arriva sempre a risolvere le situazioni la sorellina “Supermucca”.
Come accade spesso tra fratelli, i due piccoli nutrono un sincero affetto l’uno per l’altra, nonostante i litigi e le loro disavventure in un mondo popolato da umani. Mucca ama suo fratello ma non riesce proprio a capire perché lui cerchi di allontanarla da scuola. Pollo vuole sicuramente bene alla sorella ma crede di dover fare il duro quando ci sono i suoi amici in giro, cosa molto difficile quando è soffocato dalle enormi mammelle di Mucca.
La serie creata da David Feiss ha ottenuto nel 1996 una nomination per i Time Emmy Award e, sempre nello stesso anno, ha vinto gli Emmy Award.
Cow and Chicken tells the extravagant and grotesque adventures of an unrealistic pair of siblings: the older one “Chicken” and the younger one “Cow” (weighing 230kg). Even if they were born from human parents, the two bear features of their species.
Chicken, a male chicken aged eleven, always tries to excel over everybody, both with his sister Cow and over his schoolmates, Flem and Earl. His hard-bitten nature often leads him in troubles, luckily in these occasions his little sister “Supercow” strikes in to solve the situation.
As it is often with siblings, the two kids cherish a deep affection, one for the other, despite their fights and their misadventures in a world populated by humans. Cow loves her brother but does not understand why he tries to move her away from school. Chicken surely loves his sister but he believes he must behave roughly when his friends are around, which looks very difficult when he is choked by Cow’s huge udder.
The series created by David Feiss obtained a nomination in 1996 for the Time Emmy Award and in the same year, won the Emmy Award.
