December 12th, 2009 From December 5th to 12th, in the Greek city of Pyrgos, the festival Camera Zizanio took place (during the Olympia Film Festival). Since it is an event dedicated to audiovisual creations by young people, Cartoon Club sent to Pyrgos a selection of short films that had been screened during our "Animated Workshop" sections in the last three years. October 28th, 2009 This morning, Cartoon Club has participated to the International Animation Day (see our Online Press Room for details) promoted by Asifa International. At the Cineteca Comunale in Rimini, many short animation films have been screened for the children of the primary schools, this way giving an "autumn sequel" to the activities of our summer festival. |

October 25th, 2009 As our "introduction" to the International Animation Day (see our Online Press Room for details), today Cartoon Club, together with the Supercinema Theatre in Santarcangelo (RN) and the Tiberio Theatre in Rimini, proposes the screenings of Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea (Santarcangelo, Supercinema, 14.45 and 17.30, entry fee € 5,00 adults and € 4,00 children) and My Neighbour Totoro (Rimini, Cinema Tiberio, at 14.30 and 17, entry fee € 5,00 adults e € 4,00 children). Two wonderful films by the Japanese master Hayao Miyazaki, which have been briefly explained and introduced by our cinema critic Paolo Pagliarani on the YouTube channel of Cartoon Club (Itaoian only!).di Cartoon Club. |

October 23rd, 2009 Cartoon Club, being a publishing house and not just a festival, is going to participate to the most important Italian event in the comics fiels, which is Lucca Comics & Games. We will present our most recent products, such as the last issues of Fumo di China, the most famous Italian magazine about critics and information on comics, and also the comic-books by Marcello Toninelli, dedicated to his character Dante (a parody of Dante Alighieri), which is now 40 years old (the first time it was publishe don a magazine, was in 1969). |
