SUMMER AT THE CLOISTER
Cloister of San Giuliano Church, Viale Tiberio 16 – Rimini (free entry)

One of the “missions” of Cartoon Club concerns a special attention given to different areas of the city, each time putting in evidence unusual sceneries used to organize various events that are part of the Festival programme.
This way, during the twenty-four editions of Cartoon Club, Rimini has become a kind of “modular” stage that can be adapted each time to different requirements of the Festival that is composed of several activities (screenings, exhibitions, shows, concerts, meetings with artists, and so on).
The enchanted area of the San Giuliano Cloister is not an exception to the rule: behind the Church of San Giuliano, in the lively neighbourhood of the fishermen, coloured by wall paintings inspired by sea smell and Fellinian atmospheres, the quiet Cloister is ready to host two evening events, open to everybody but in a special way to the youngsters. A night full of shudders and thrills, dedicated to crime and mystery (but not to worry: it is just animated mysteries, suitable for any age), and a theatre show offloaded with inventions and surprises, will fill in the fascinating scenario that had already collected many patrons in past editions of the Festival.
After all, Cartoon Club is also a way to know the city better, whether you are from Rimini or not, and to stop for a moment in places that, otherwise, you might just hurriedly notice without seeing their true beauty.
